This is how the Full Service Design process works
Initial Introductory Discovery phone call
During this complimentary twenty minute phone call we discuss your wish list and needs for your space, location of project and any other important details. I invite you to schedule an introductory phone call here.
Consultation
The design consultation is the launching pad for every new project. During this first meeting we will discuss the scope of your project, allocated investment, timeline and conduct a walk through of the space.
Project Start
Project is kicked off upon signed Letter of Agreement and retainer receipt. The Letter of Agreement details the scope of the project, fee structure, policies and procedures, and designer and client responsibilities.
Measurements
Detailed photographs and measurements are taken on site. Carefully considered space planning is crucial to a well-designed space. After all the measurements have been taken I will develop floor plans and elevations as needed.
Inspiration & Furnishing Investment Estimate
At this time we explore inspirational images such as Pinterest Boards to assess lifestyle and design preferences as we begin to formulate your individual color palette. We create an estimated furniture budget and discuss quality level expectations.
Design Programming Floorplans, elevations and a lighting plan are created. We develop a color scheme and source fabrics, furniture, fixtures and other materials. Millwork and custom cabinetry is designed. Window treatments, trims and hardware are chosen. Quotes and pricing are researched and cataloged. This is where it all comes together and every detail is considered.
Presentation
This is the meeting to review the floor plans, all furniture selections, and finish samples. This is an exciting time where you can begin to see the design concept take shape! We will go through your design in detail and you will be presented with fabrics, drawings, photos and samples for each element. For some elements, you’ll be presented with two or three options. You will also be given a budget outlining the estimated cost of each item. Additional meetings may be needed to refine the design.
Procurement
Proposals are created of approved items, and Artistica Interiors will generate purchase orders to begin ordering. Final finish selection choices will be documented and submitted to client and contractor. Orders are tracked and received at our preferred receiver, McDaniel Furniture Services.
Construction Support
Construction site visits are coordinated as needed to ensure design intent and execution of the highest quality workmanship.
Installation
All installs such as wallpaper, drapery, and furniture delivery are scheduled. We will be on site for the furniture delivery to ensure items are received in good condition and installed properly.
Styling
Styling is what elevates your space to magazine quality status. It refers to adding those finishing touches and follows a different process than the rest of the design. I will determine an estimate for accessories and the client will provide me with an agreed upon purchasing allowance. Before the installation I’ll source accessories for your space. This can include photo frames, bowls, table top items, throws, and candles. On installation day, they’ll be placed throughout your space. I’ll provide you with the cost of each item and you’ll have a day or two to decide what you want to keep. Clients love how accessories complete the room and add a warm touch.
Reveal
Your completed space is camera ready for the big reveal! I bring in my photographer to capture your space and you and your family are ready to settle in and relax in a beautifully appointed home.
