High Point Market Trends

Every Fall and Spring, thousands of designers and buyers converge in the city of High Point North Carolina for the greatest furnishings trade show in the world, the High Point Market. Compromised of thousands of square feet of showroom displays, and in typical years hosting an influx of more than 75,000 visitors, Market is a feast for the senses. I consider trips to High Point a must for serious designers and decorators looking for the best and latest in home furnishings and accessories. This October, after an almost two year hiatus due to the global pandemic, I returned for an inspiring five days of design heaven!

Bold color was seen in many showrooms, while smooth velvet and shimmery accent pillows reigned supreme. What a refreshing change from all the neutral grays seen in home decor over the past decade! Acrylic and mixed metals added fun sparkle and graphic prints and artwork continued the festive story in the accessory category. I plan on returning to High Point this Spring for more inspiration, education and networking with fellow designers. Seeing furnishings and accessories in person at High Point Market means I can fulfill my client’s dreams for their homes with an extended rolodex of unique products and knowledge of quality. I can’t wait to share the latest and greatest with you!
